Moffett Closes NCAA Regional

BATON ROUGE, La. - Erin Moffett wrapped up the NCAA Mid-East Regional for the Blue Demons on Saturday evening in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase. The senior placed 13th overall with a time of 10:49.24.

Briana Shook won the event with a Mid-East Regional record of 9:55.98. The top five finishers advanced to the NCAA Championships in two weeks in Austin, Texas.

Larry Inanga and Jarrod Jahnke competed on Friday in the 400 meters and hammer throw, respectively. Inanga placed 18th in the 400-meter prelims while Jahnke was 16th in the hammer.
