Rick Britton Named a C-USA Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient

CHICAGO – DePaul senior Rick Britton was named one of six recipients of Conference USA’s Postgraduate Scholarship Award. The league annually present six $4,000 Postgraduate Scholarship awards to graduates as selected by the Faculty Athletics Representatives at the conference’s annual Spring Meetings.
Britton is an eight-time letterwinner in cross country and track and field and will graduate from DePaul’s School of Education. He is also a four-time DePaul School of Education Dean’s List honoree and four-time member of C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Britton plans to pursue his master’s degree in statistics at the University of Illinois. In 2003, he placed eighth in the 10k at the C-USA Cross Country Championships and sixth in the mile at the indoor conference meet.
He is the second DePaul student-athlete to earn C-USA’s postgraduate award joining Jeffrey Welker in 1995-96. Welker was also a member of DePaul’s cross country and track and field teams.
