Track & Field To Central Collegiate Championships

CHICAGO – The DePaul track and field teams will make their way to the Central Collegiate Championship in The The field of team includes: All but four members of the Blue Demon squad are coming off of a weekend of rest, as Kayla Burks, Gavin Kennedy, Richard Byrne, and Anthony Becknek were the only student-athletes who traveled to Walnut, California. The group participated in the distinguished Mt. SAC Relays at Burks notched a second place finish in the high jump, covering a height of 1.67m (5’05.75”). All three DePaul men recorded personal bests in their respective events. Kennedy and Byrne ran the 1500 meter race and Becknek took on the 3000 meter steeplechase. Kennedy slid into eighth place with a time of 3:49.80 and Byrne followed close behind in 3:51.35 for the 14th spot. Beckek scored a 14th place finish as well, recording his new best in 9:14.56. Following the Central Collegiate Championships, the Blue Demons intend to spread all over the map, sending representatives to three various locations. The 111th Penn Relays will take place in
