Five Softball Players Honored by Conference USA

CHICAGO- The DePaul Blue Demons had five players earn Conference
Senior outfielder Dana Kenney, sophomore pitcher Megan Huitink and freshman utility player Sandy Vojik were named to the first team. Senior first baseman Saskia Roberson and senior outfielder Ashley Parker were named to the second team while, freshman designated player Marcy Wilus and Vojik were named to the All-Freshman roster.
Kenney finished the regular season with a perfect fielding percentage and the third best team batting average (.323). The senior led the team with 25 hits during C-USA play.
Huitink was twice named C-USA Pitcher of the Week before being named to first team. She brings a 1.48 ERA into post season play and is averaging over a strikeout per inning.
Vojik became the first Blue Demon freshman to be named to the first team since April Valdez did it in 2002. Vojik led DePaul with two triples during C-USA play.
Seniors, Roberson and Parker were named to the second team. Roberson led the Blue Demons with six home runs during C-USA play while Parker led the team with a .367 batting average.
For the second season in a row, two Blue Demons were named to the All-Freshman team. Wilus appeared on the roster after recording a .400 on base percentage and a .273 batting average. Vojik joined Wilus on the All-Freshman team.
Since joining C-USA in 2000, the Blue Demons have boasted 25 first team selections and eight All-Freshman team members.
