Softball Ranks in Top 20 for Division I GPA for Second Straight Year

Blue Demons boast 21 NFCA Scholar-Athletes in 2025-26
CHICAGO – For the second year in a row, DePaul softball earned recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for top Division I GPA performance, tying for 16th. The Blue Demons recorded a cumulative 3.73 GPA of 3.73 in 2025-26.
Twenty-one student-athletes also earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors, two more than in 2024-25. The 2025-26 recipients are Gwen Baker, Kali Blount, Katie Borges, Addi Burdick, Ella Burleson, Emersyn Coulter, Camryn Eckhart, Lydia Ettema, Kelly Greene, Ava Gusel, Zoe Levine, Hannah Messer, Bella Nigey, Chelsea Parker, Addy Poe, Bibianna Rodriguez, Morgan Rogers, Kailey Selvage, Kailie Westphal, Madelyn Wilson and Maya Wondaal.
"Sports are a powerful vehicle for developing strong women and future leaders," said head coach Liz Bouck-Jagielski. "At DePaul, we put the student-athlete experience first, developing confident women who lead, problem-solve, work as a team and make an impact. A Top 20 team GPA nationally shows our commitment to excellence in the classroom and on the field. Our goal is bigger than softball. We are preparing women to win in everything they do."
DePaul softball is one of six BIG EAST teams that earned honors.
