Head coach Eugene Lenti and assistant coaches Liz Bouck and Lindsay Chouinard led the Blue Demons to a 45-21 record and the school’s third appearance at the Women’s College World Series. The team also won its fourth consecutive Conference USA Tournament title.
The staff coached three-time senior All-American Saskia Roberson and 2nd team All-Region player’s sophomore pitcher Tracie Adix and freshman utility player Sandy Vojik. The staff also produced three first team C-USA selections and C-USA Tournament MVP, pitcher Megan Huitink.
Prior to the season’s end Lenti was named the C-USA Softball Coach of the Decade and was later awarded the Women’s Sports C-USA Coach of the Decade. During Lenti’s 24 year tenure at DePaul, he has coached 19 All-Americans and 59 first team All-Conference selections.
The Blue Demon staff shares the honor with the Northwestern staff.
