The 48th annual Mt. SAC Relays started Thursday at Mt. San Antonio College’s Hilmer Lodge Stadium. Freshman Gabe Harris posted a solid performance for the Blue Demons early in the day, finishing seventh in the 400m dash with a BIG EAST qualifying time of 48.33.
Sophomore Allyson Petersen followed Harris with a personal best time of 2:15.46 in the 800m run. In the men’s 800m run, sophomore Dan Branca delivered a team season best time for DePaul with a mark of 1:58.10.
Late in the day, junior Anthony Becknek recorded a qualifying time of 9:23.20 in the 3,000m steeplechase while Richard Byrne closed out events with a mark of 3:57.96 in the 1,500m run.
Friday took most of DePaul’s athletes to
Holifield placed ninth in the hammer throw, hitting her best distance this season with a mark of 49.32m. Burris followed in 12th place with a throw of 48.33m.

Junior Carrie Moffett finished the Invitational by taking second place in the women’s 5,000m with a time of 18:02.02.
No team scores were kept in any of the competitions.
