Blue Demons Host Loyola-Chicago

Both teams are looking for a much needed win, as the Blue Demons are 5-5 in their last 10 outings, while the Ramblers are 3-7. DePaul has won the last 22 meetings dating back to 1995 when the teams split a best of four series.
The Blue Demons (19-14) offense is led by a trio of underclassmen, freshmen Amber Patton and Jackie Tarulli-Fisher and sophomore Marcy Wilus. Patton guides the Blue Demons with a .390 batting average and is followed by Wilus (.318) and Tarulli-Fisher (.296). Tarulli-Fisher leads the Blue Demons with six home runs, including two in the last three contests; while Wilus is second on team with 19 RBI and boasts a team best .447 on base percentage.
DePaul has also relied heavily on its freshman pitcher Stephanie Blagaich, who has appeared in team-high 14 games and holds a 2.71 ERA.
Loyola (11-32) also relies on its freshman pitcher, Laura DeLeon, who leads a three woman pitching staff with a 3.02 ERA and has notched six wins in the circle. Junior outfielder Tara Miller leads the Ramblers with a .311 batting average.
Loyola head coach Yvette Healy is a former All-American and Academic All-American student athlete (1996-99) and assistant coach (2003-04) at DePaul.
