Blagaich scattered three hits and struck out three en route to her ninth victory this season.
The Blue Demons (25-15, 9-5) needed just four hits, including a two-run home run from sophomore Marcy Wilus, to notch three runs on the afternoon.
Wilus' fifth home run of the season soared over the center field fence to put the Blue Demons on the board in the bottom of the third. Wilus' long ball scored Kara Amundson, who led off the inning with a single to left field.
DePaul added its final run in the fourth inning on heads up running by sophomore Sandy Vojik. The sophomore found herself in a rundown and tagged home plate on Linda Secka's fielder choice to the first baseman.
Taryn Hagemann (6-12) suffered the loss for Northern. Hagemann threw the first four innings before being relieved by Lindsey LaChiana.
The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled due to weather.
