The Blue Demons had runners in scoring position in the top of the first, second and fourth innings but were unable to push any runners across until the bottom of the seventh.
Stephanie Blagaich and Jessica Evans delivered back-to-back singles to begin the Blue Demon seventh. Both runners moved on Sara Bandauski's groundout and Blagaich crossed the plate on Sandy Vojik's groundout to pull DePaul within a run and place the tying run at third with two outs. However, Bishop got the final Blue Demon batter to groundout and end DePaul's threat.
Bishop (29-5) earned the complete game win.
Adix (12-9) gave up seven hits and struck out two. DePaul's offense was led by Vojik and Blagaich. The duo combined for four of the Blue Demons six hits.
The Blue Demons finish the 2006 season 33-22 and 13-9 in their inaugural season in the BIG EAST Conference.
