Holifield to Represent Track and Field at Mideast Regional

CHICAGO - School-record holder Jamie Holifield travels Knoxville, Tennessee this weekend to represent DePaul track and field at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships. The junior thrower competes in the women's hammer throw at 11Â a.m. on Saturday at the University of Tennessee's Tom Black Track.
Ranked 20th among competitors, Holifield enters the meet with a DePaul record throw of 55.49m that she set at the BIG EAST Championships on May 7. She also posted a Regional qualifying throw of 54.26m the following week at the Dr. Keeler Invitational.
Brittany Riley of Southern Illinois holds the region's top hammer throw this season with a mark of 66.07m.
