Strawder Delivers NCAA Qualifying Long Jump at Illinois State

Strawder cleared a distance of 7.44m to win the long jump and exceed the NCAA Regional standard of 7.34m. In addition, he set a meet record by eclipsing the 2004 mark of 7.21m posted by Terry Nurse of
The men’s shot put saw Curtis Hoag deliver a season-best 15.23m throw to finish fourth. He exceeded the BIG EAST standard of 14.63m for the fourth time this season.
Scott Cooper won the men’s 800m run with a time of 1:55.45. Greg Udzielak followed in ninth place with a time of 1:59.45 and Nick Schaefer finished 14th with a time of 2:00.63.
Ivy Moffett took second place in the women’s 100m dash with a season-best time of 12.35, while Terah Cheatham finished third in the women’s 5,000m run with a time of 18:57.14.
No team scores were kept at the meet that featured competition from BIG EAST rival Marquette in addition to Eastern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Western Illinois, Southern Illinois-Carbondale, Olivet Nazarene, St. Louis, Illinois Wesleyan, Washington University, Illinois, Millikin and Bradley.
