CHICAGO - DePaul freshman Tiffany Jordan was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week after leading the Blue Demons to a pair of victories at the Cleveland State Fall Classic. She racked up four points on a goal and two assists as the Blue Demons won the first two matches of the season for just the second time in program history.
Jordan scored a goal and assisted two game-winning goals over the weekend in two matches. Jordan assisted DePaul's first goal in the season-opening win against Ohio on Friday before scoring a goal and assisting the second goal against Cleveland State. She is the first women's soccer player at DePaul to earn a BIG EAST weekly honor.
Joining Jordan on the weekly list of honors for the BIG EAST was Offensive Player of the Week Krystle Jalalian of St. John's and Defensive Player of the Week Kayce Blandford from Villanova. The league's Goalkeeper of the Week was Amanda Becker from Seton Hall.
The Blue Demons play at Loyola-Chicago on Wednesday night before hosting Drake on Friday afternoon at Wish Field. This week's action wraps up on Sunday with a road match at Southeast Missouri State.
