2010-11 Track and Field Schedule Announced

CHICAGO- The DePaul's first year men's and women's track and field coach, Dave Dopek released the programs 2010-11 schedule today.
The Indoor season opens on December 3, when the team travels to South Bend, Ind. for the Blue and Gold meet. Then the Blue Demons fallow up with six more meets in preparation for the BIG EAST Indoor Championships, including two more meets in South Bend, Ind., one in West Lafayette, Ind., one in Madison, Wis., one in Champaign, Ill. and the final meet in Ames, Iowa.
The 2010-11 BIG EAST Indoor Championships are scheduled to take place in Akron, Ohio on February 19-20. In order to qualify for the event, individuals from any of the BIG EAST's 16 school must meet qualifying standards.
The outdoor season begins in Charlotte, N.C. on March 18 when the Blue Demons will participate in the 49er classic in Charlotte, N.C. Seven meets total are scheduled in preparation for the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship which is set to take place in Philadelphia, PA.
DePaul has also scheduled a home meet on April 16 at the Lane Tech track and field facility. Lane Stadium was dedicated on May 14, 2008 when with inaugural DePaul Relay celebrated the opening of the new track.
The track and field team begins their season on December 3 in South Bend, Ind.
