DePaul Clashes with UC Riverside in Maggie Dixon Classic Championship

CHICAGO - The DePaul women's basketball team faces UC Riverside in the championship game of the Maggie Dixon Classic on Saturday at McGrath Arena. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, while Northwestern State and Morgan State play a consolation game at 5 p.m.
The championship game will be carried live on DePaul's BlueTube with Drew Olson calling the action live courtside. A video stream will also be available for both Maggie Dixon Classic games on Saturday.
The Blue Demons are looking to stay on their current streak - they have won their last two games and hold a perfect 3-0 record at McGrath Arena. In its last two games, DePaul has averaged 90.0 points while Anna Martin has put up 18.0 points per contest while Keisha Hampton, Katherine Harry, Taylor Pikes and Felicia Chester are also averaging double figures.
DePaul reached the championship game of the Maggie Dixon Classic by defeating Northwestern State 93-56, on Friday. The Blue Demons shot 58 percent for the game, while they were unstoppable in the second half by hitting 73 percent of their shots.
UC Riverside advanced with a 60-44 win over Morgan State. The Highlanders are led by Brittany Waddell's 11.5 points per game while Alyssa Morris leads UC Riverside with 6.5 rebounds per game.
DePaul is playing for its second consecutive Maggie Dixon Classic Championship. The tournament which is named in honor of former Blue Demon assistant coach Maggie Dixon is in its second year in Lincoln Park, while the Blue Demons won the 2009 Tournament over Dixon's alma mater San Diego last season.
