Head Coach Eugene Lenti: Coach Lenti has built the DePaul softball program from its infancy into a national powerhouse. Lenti has been at the helm of the program for 29 years; over that time he has amassed four Women's College World Series berths, 15 NCAA Regional appearances, 11 years of ending the season in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll (seven times in the top 10), and has propelled the Blue Demon softball program to one of the nation's elite. The Hall-of-Fame coach won his 1,000th game in 2009 and was the NFCA National Coach of the Year in 1999. DePaul has qualified for the NCAA tournament 13 of the last 14 years. Last May, the Blue Demons were named BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year for the third time in the last four years.
Assistant Coach Liz Jagielski: A former All-American, Jagielski (Bouck) joined the Blue Demon staff as an assistant coach in August of 2004. Jagielski made an immediate coaching impact as she helped to guide the 2005 and 2007 squads back to Women's College World Series. The coaching staff was also named the Mideast Region Coaching Staff of the Year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in both 2005 and 2007. Lenti, Jagielski and Cat Osterman were honored as BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year in 2009 and 2010.
Assistant Coach Nancy Evans: The former Honda Award winner as NCAA Player of the Year in softball was named an assistant coach on Aug. 4, 2010. Evans played on three NCAA champion teams at Arizona from 1994-98, and her 124-8 career pitching record is No. 1 in NCAA softball history. She is also third all-time in career wins. The two-time, NCAA first team All-American and NCAA first team Academic All-American served as an assistant coach at Arizona from 1998-2007. In that span, she helped lead the Wildcats to three national championships, one runner-up finish and a pair of third-place finishes.
Director of Softball Operations Samantha Findlay: The former NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player was promoted to Director of Softball Operations on Aug. 10, 2010 after serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the Blue Demons the last two seasons. The former Lockport four-time, All-Stater completed her college career in 2008, leading Michigan to the 2005 NCAA Championship title with a dramatic game-winning home run at the Women's College World Series.
