Women's Tennis Completes Second Day of WMU Super Challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The DePaul women's tennis team continued to play well at the WMU Super Challenge on Saturday at the West Hill Country Club. The Blue Demons registered four wins, while freshman Christiana Raymond helped DePaul with wins in doubles and singles play.
Playing doubles teams from Iowa State, the Blue Demons won in both the number two and three spots. Raymond, who was paired with Gia McKnight, registered an 8-5 winover Iowa State's Emma Waites and Erin Karonis. Samantha Kaneta and Kelsey Lawson got their own 8-5 win, when they topped Marie-Christine Chartier adn liza Wischer from Iowa State.
In singles action, the Blue Demons squared off against Penn State and won two of their six matches. Selma Salkovic topped Amy Simidian 6-4, 6-4 while Raymond battled for a 6-2, 7-6 (1) win over Maria Prishlyak.
DePaul closes out the Super Challenge on Sunday with one round of singles, action begins at 8:30 a.m.
