Women's Tennis Wraps Up WMU Super Challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The DePaul women's tennis team closed out the WMU Super Challenge with five singles victories on Sunday. The Blue Demons tallied 15 wins during the three-day tournament at the West Hills Athletic Club.
Playing student-athletes from Iowa State, the Blue Demons dominated the courts. Christiana Raymond picked up her third singles victory of the weekend with 6-2, 6-4 win over Marie-Christine Chartier. The freshman leads the Blue Demons in singles victories and improves to 10-5 on the season.
Seniors Selma Salkovic and Katarina Milinkovic each won their respective matches and went 2-1 in singles play this weekend. On Sunday, Salkovic came-from-behind to defeat Erin Karonis 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (9), while Milinkovic topped Maria Fernanda Macedo in straight sets -- 6-4, 6-4.
Kelsey Lawson and Gia McKnight also picked up wins today. Lawson defeated Tessa Lang, 7-6 (6), 6-3 while McKnight dominated Liza Wischer 6-2, 6-1.
The Blue Demons break from action until January when they make the short trek to Evanston for the Northwestern Invitational, Jan. 14-16.
