Heteniak Receives Academic All-District Honor

CHICAGO - Becca Heteniak picked up another accolade on Thursday.
DePaul's senior ace was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team in recognition of her accomplishments on the softball diamond and in the classroom.
In addition to being among the best pitchers in the BIG EAST Conference, Heteniak is also headed towards her fourth consecutive selection on the All-BIG EAST Academic Team.
She is among 10 finalists nationwide for the prestigious Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
In the pitching circle, Heteniak has won 10 games in a row and is 18-9 on the season with a 1.87 earned-run average.
In the batter's box, she is hitting .322 with six home runs and 28 RBI while leading the Blue Demons in walks with 42 and doubles with 10. She is tied for second in homers and is third in RBI.
