Chris Miedema and Rebecca Adamcheck Join Blue Demon Roster

Miedema, a native of Port Colborne, Ontario, is set to compete on the cross country squad, as well as carry mid-distance responsibilities during the track and field season. In 2010, he clocked a personal-best 1:52.51 and was named the Ontario Provincial Champion in the 800m while racing for Lakeshore Catholic Secondary School. Miedema also get strides in competing for the Niagara Regional Athletics Track and Field Club.
Adamcheck will be relied upon to add depth to the DePaul group of sprinters. Hailing from Livonia, Mich., she boasts a personal-record 400m time of 57.50 and most recently placed fourth at the 2010 Division 1 Michigan State Championships in the 300m hurdles. In the AAU circuit, Adamcheck ran for the Michigan Accelorators alongside current Blue Demon Corrie Castro.
The 2010 cross country campaign commences on Sat., Sept. 4 at Channel Runne Park for the Vincentian Cup Cross Country Challenge. The track and field season follows in early December.
