
No. 34 DePaul Wins Third Straight, Tops Drexel

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The No. 34 DePaul women's team picked up its third consecutive win with a dominating 6-1 win over Drexel at Navy's Tose Family Tennis Center at the Brigade Sports Complex. The Blue Demons finish their day with an evening dual with Navy.
DePaul (5-3) dominated on doubles courts as the Blue Demons dropped just five games on their way to a 1-0 advantage.
DePaul's dominance continued in singles play as Katarina Milinkovic, Gia McKnight, Kelsey Lawson and Cali Gustafson all either swept their matches or lost just one game.
Milinkovic was the first off the courts and tallied her fifth consecutive win. The senior overpowered Gozde Unkaya 6-0, 6-0 in the top spot. It is Milinkovic's first shutout of the season, while the senior has held her opponent to just two or less set victories in two other matches this season.
Kelsey Lawson was the next off the courts with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Emma Brook in the fourth position.
Gia McKnight improved to 2-0 this season in the second position when she topped Sonja Stosic 6-1, 6-0 which clinched the match for the Blue Demons.
The Blue Demons return to the courts this evening against Navy.
