
Women's Tennis Falls to ASU

TEMPE, Ariz.-The DePaul women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss on the road at No. 16 Arizona State on Wednesday at Whiteman Tennis Center. The Sun Devils have won four straight and improve to 11-3 while the Blue Demons fall to 10-7.
ASU won the doubles point behind strong play from its ranked teams in the first and third positions.
The Sun Devil continued to play well in singles action and won five of the six matches, in two sets.
DePaul's Christiana Raymond took Michelle Brycki to a breaker after winning the first set 6-2, but Brycki won the second set 6-4 and the breaker 10-6.
All seven of DePaul's losses this season have come to ranked opponents; while five have come to opponents that have been ranked in the top 31 at the time of competition.
DePaul returns to action on April 2 when it hosts Long Beach State at the Lakeshore Athletic Club.
