Blue Demons Compete at Cardinal Invite

Louisville, Ky.- The DePaul men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Louisville Cardinal Invite this Friday. This was the second meet of the weekend for the Blue Demons.
Melissa Fraser and Alanna Kovacs represented the women's team in three of the throwing events. In the women's discus Kovacs placed third with a toss of 48.38m and in the women's hammer throw Fraser finished in fourth with a toss of 53.31m.
Both, Fraser and Kovacs, also competed in the javelin. Fraser won the event with her second-best toss of the season, 51.33m and Kovacs came in third with a distance of 45.09m.
Also representing the women's team, Lindsey Holden ran a season-best time of 55.98 in the 400m dash to place fifth.
On the men's side Tim Nedow threw a season-best toss of 18.80m to finish in first place in the shot put and Matthew Graham finished in second place in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:01.2.
The Blue Demons finish this weekend's competition tomorrow at the Chicago Penultimate.
