Nedow Adds To Championships

Eugene, Ore.- The DePaul men's and women's track and field teams finished competition at this year's NCAA West Preliminary. On the last day of competition, Tim Nedow qualified in his second event for the NCAA Championships.
In the men's discus, Nedow finished in ninth place with a toss of 55.01m, Nedow also qualified earlier in the weekend, with a 10th place finish in the shot put. Earlier in the season, Nedow broke the DePaul record with a toss of 55.46m in the discus.
Mary Cate Quiett and Alanna Kovacs will both join Nedow at the 2011 NCAA Championships. Quiett ran a season-best time in the 800m run and Kovacs finished in fourth place in the javelin.
The Blue Demons return to completion on June 10 for the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
