Blue Demons Hit the Road in BIG EAST

STORRS, Conn. - After producing an six goals en route to back-to-back shutouts, the DePaul women's soccer team takes to the road this weekend for two BIG EAST Conference matches. The Blue Demons first take on Connecticut at 4:30 p.m. CT on Friday before battling Providence on Sunday in a noon matchup.
The Blue Demons enter the weekend with reigning BIG EAST Rookie of the Week, Elise Wyatt, and weekly Honor Roll member Kylie Nordness in tow. Last weekend, Wyatt registered an assist in a 2-0 win over Saint Louis on Thursday before dominating with a two-goal performance in a 4-0 BIG EAST win over Pittsburgh.
DePaul (7-4-1, 2-1 BIG EAST) first challenges Connecticut at Morrone Stadium, the eventual site for the 2012 BIG EAST Championships. The Huskies enter the match holding a 6-4-1 record and a 2-2 mark in conference action.
On Sunday, the Blue Demons head to Providence to take on the Friars at noon CT. Much like DePaul, the Friars hold a 7-4-1 overall record this season, but are now 2-2 in league play. Providence faces off against Notre Dame on Friday night of this week before it battles the Blue Demons.
