Track & Field Continues Season Friday in Bloomington

CHICAGO -- The DePaul track and field teams will continue their 2014-15 seasons on Friday afternoon at the Hoosier Open in Bloomington, Ind.
The meet, hosted by Indiana University, will be the Blue Demons' second in as many weeks in the state of Indiana. DePaul opened its year up last Friday (Dec. 5) at the Blue and Gold Invitational at Notre Dame.
Field events are scheduled to start at 2:45 p.m. CT Friday with the weight throw and running events are slated to start at 3:30 pm. CT with the men's 5,000-meter run.
Three Blue Demons began their seasons with individual wins last week at the Blue and Gold Invite, including Matt Babicz (shot put) and Mac Melto (400), who were named the BIG EAST Field and Track Players of the Week, respectively. In addition Trevor Kintyhtt won the weight throw competition.
The Hoosier Open is DePaul's last event until the Mike Lints Invitational on Jan. 16.
