CHICAGO - Jessica January scored a career-high 25 points and six DePaul players finished in double-figures as the No. 25 DePaul women's basketball team defeated Loyola 109-84 on Wednesday at Gentile Arena.

With DePaul scoring its most points in nearly eight years, the Blue Demons distributed the ball with efficiency.
DePaul dished out a season-best 30 assists which is the team's best since the 2007 season and ties for the fifth most in Blue Demon program history. To go along with Hrynko's game high, January tallied six, Jenkins had five while Centrese McGee, Rogowski and Podkowa each finished with three assists.
The first half was highlighted with lights-out shooting. The Blue Demons shot 61 percent from the field and tallied 11 3-pointers. Loyola was equally as hot and finished the first 20 minutes 63 percent from the field and knocked down a season-best eight 3-pointers.
However the Blue Demons' stifling defense forced Loyola into 10 turnovers which resulted in 13 Blue Demon points.
After trading points in the opening three plus minutes, a 3-pointer from Rogowski gave DePual a 13-12 advantage with 16 minutes to play in the half.
The Blue Demons used a 16-6 run to push its lead to 10-points when January drained a 3-pointer with just under 12 minutes to play in the first.
January, who scored 19 points in the first half, gave DePaul a 12-point advantage - 49-37 - with a jumper from outside the key with 3:27 to play. The Blue Demons would head to the locker room up 58-51.
Jenkins started the half with a 3-pointer and Rogowski made three straight triples to give the Blue Demons a 70-57 advantage. Loyola got within seven points 73-65, but the Blue Demon pressure and high-octane offense was too much for the Ramblers to catch.
Up, 84-74, DePaul finished the game on a 25-10 run which saw the Blue Demon bench score 11 of those points.
Loyola was paced by 21 points from Becca Taylor.
DePaul returns to the court against No. 2/2 Connecticut on Friday. DePaul's game against the Huskies will be played at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. and can be seen live on SNY and ESPN3.
