Season Concludes for Babicz at Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. -- The 2013-14 track and field season officially came to an end on Wednesday evening at the University of Oregon when thrower Matt Babicz wrapped up his campaign in the finals of the shot put competition.
Babicz, a senior from Mt. Prospect, Ill., who still has a year of eligibility remaining, fired a best throw of 18.29 meters to finish 20th.
Babicz was the lone Blue Demon to qualify for the National Championships and the only representative from the BIG EAST in the shot put competition.
Babicz and the Blue Demons will be back at it next winter when the 2014-15 track and field season begins in December.
