Bleu Demons in France: Brittany Hrynko

Bonjour Blue Demon Fans!
We have enjoyed our first couple days in France and today we visited Folleville where St. Vincent de Paul began his journey towards sainthood. We also went to Amiens Cathedral. It was a great day, made even better by experiencing it with my teammates!
After visiting the Amiens, we took a bus back to Paris for our second game of the trip! After a long ride, we arrived at the gym and had only 10 minutes to stretch before the game. Although we did not get off to a quick start, we were able to pull away with a win and improved to 2-0 abroad!
After the game, we headed back to the hotel before going to the Champs-Élysées - which is the most famous street in Paris, sort of like Michigan Avenue! We had two and half hours to enjoy dinner and explore the streets of Paris, as well as have a good time with our teammates.
I chose to spend time with the five freshmen -- Lauren, Meghan, Elri, Mart'e and Ashton - and Brandi. We all went to dinner and shared a variety of different foods. Lauren, Elri, and I were the only ones who ordered dessert and we all thought it was different, but also good! Elri and I both had milk shakes while Lauren had ice cream.
After dinner it started to rain really hard, but we still enjoyed the streets of Paris! We walked into a couple stores and then to a stand, where we met up with Jessica and ShaKeya. The stand sold Paris souvenirs and we were able to buy gifts for ourselves as well as our families.
Once we were all back together as a team, we shared stories from our night, including what interesting foods we ate and places we discovered during our explorations. Before we knew it, it was time to meet the coaches and get ready for another exciting day! Tomorrow we are off to the Eiffel Tower and will have dinner while cruising on the River Seine.
