DES MOINES, Iowa -- A light day for the DePaul track and field team opened up play at the Drake Relays on Friday in Des Moines, Iowa.
The three-day even continues Saturday and Sunday.
Both the men's and women's 4x100-meter relay teams had solid season openers -- the men's team of Sebastian Feyersinger, Ivy Dobson, Chaz Bottoms and Brandon Threats placed 17th out of 25 finishers with a time of 41.18 seconds and the women's quartet of Shayna Nwokenkwo, Taylor Farley, Ayesha Ewing and Tayler Whittler took 16th, crossing the finish line in 46.95 seconds.
Action from the Drake Relays resumes Saturday morning.
