Track & Field Wins Six Events in Naperville

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The DePaul track and field teams captured six individual events at North Central College to conclude the squad's final event before the NCAA Regional.
The two day event concluded Friday in Naperville.
Senior Matt Babicz won the shot put event thanks to his best throw of 19.26 meters and his brother, Anthony Babicz, paced second (15.95m). In the women's 100-meter dash, Shayna Nwokenkwo won the race in 11.98 seconds and Jackie Kasal took the 800 in 2:09.49. The 4x100-meter relay team of Nwokenkwo, Taylor Farley, Tayler Whittler and Ayesha Ewing won their race in 46.11 seconds and Gabrielle Howard took care of business in the triple jump thanks to her best jump of 11.72 meters.Â
Finally Ivy Dobson won the men's 100-meter dash in 10.66 seconds.Â
The Blue Demons will await the announcement for their NCAA qualifying bids in the coming days.
