AUSTIN, Texas -- DePaul senior Matt Babicz threw a personal best on Friday evening in Texas and will advance to the National Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Babicz tossed a best throw of 19.52 meters to place fourth. He will represent DePaul in the shot put at the University of Oregon in June.
The Mt. Prospect native needed to place in the top-12 to qualify.Â
Bailey Dell, DePaul's last remaining competitor, finished 22nd in the javelin throw on Saturday evening. She registered a best throw of 45.24 meters.
