CHICAGO ââ'¬" Abby Reed received another accolade on Thursday in what has already been a memorable farewell season for the senior forward.
Reed was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team and is now eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.
The dangerous striker leads DePaul with 10 goals which is two shy of the program's single-season record she shares with Elise Wyatt (2015) and Julianne Sitch (2003). Reed scored her dozen in 2014.
The Blue Demons are No. 11 in the country in total goals with 42. They need four more scores to equal the all-time program record of 46 goals set in 2004.
Reed's six assists gives her 26 points which is No. 33 in the nation. She will graduate with a degree in psychology and carries a 3.7 grade-point average.
Earlier this season, Reed was honored as the espnW National Soccer Player of the Week. She has also been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.
DePaul has already earned a share of the BIG EAST regular-season title and will look to win the crown outright with its final conference match at 7 p.m. Friday at Marquette.
The game will be broadcast by the BIG EAST Digital Network which can be accessed at foxsportsgo.com.
