CHICAGO - DePaul head coach Eugene Lenti anounced his team's 2017 schedule on Tuesday. The Blue Demons are scheduled to face 31 different teams which includes seven from the BIG EAST Conference.
DePaul faces six teams that participated in the 2016 NCAA Tournament, including national champion Oklahoma.
43 games fill the calendar starting Feb. 10 against Ball State and the Blue Demons are scheduled to play 24 games during the tournament portion of their schedule.
From February until mid-March, the Blue Demons will compete in five tournaments. DePaul begins its season at the Louisiana Tournament, Feb. 10-12 in Lafayette, La.
The following weekend, DePaul is in Las Cruces, N.M. for the New Mexico State Tournament Feb. 17-19, where it will face Oregon State, New Mexico State, Tennessee, Bradley and North Carolina.
March 3-5, DePaul joins Cleveland State, Maryland Eastern Shore and host Winthrop for the Winthrop Tournament, in Rock Hill, S.C.
After the squad's East Coast swing, the Blue Demons head west for the Rebel Classic, March 9-12. DePaul is scheduled to face New Mexico State, UNLV, Portland State and Southern Illinois while in Las Vegas.
DePaul wraps up tournament play at Loyola Marymount Tournament, March 17-19 in Los Angeles. The Blue Demons face Oklahoma on March 18 while they will also face Cal Poly Dartmouth, Loyola Marymount and Sacramento State during the three-day tournament.
The Blue Demons head to Southern Califorma for a non-conference game at San Diego on March 21 before returning to the Midwest for BIG EAST action.
Conference play begins in Indianapolis with a three-game series against defending BIG EAST Tournament champions, Butler, Mar. 25-26.
DePaul welcomes Seton Hall for its first home games of the season the following weekend, April 1-2.
The Blue Demons break from conference play for road games at Loyola (April 4) and Illinois State (April 5) before welcoming BIG EAST rival St. John's for a three-game series, April 8-9.
DePaul hosts Providence, April 14-15 before traveling to Georgetown, April 22-23.
UIC provides the Blue Demons with a break in league action on April 26 when the two teams tangle on the southside.
DePaul closes out the month of April at Villanova (April 29-30) before a quick trip to Norhtwestern on May 3.
The Blue Demons close out their regular season at home with a series against Creighton, May 6-7.
The BIG EAST Conference Tournament returns to the Ballpark in Rosemont, May 12-13. The top four teams from the league qualify and compete for the conference title that earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
