CHICAGO - The DePaul men's and women's track and field teams announced their 2016-17 schedule on Monday afternoon.
For indoor season, the Blue Demons compete in seven regular meets before appearing at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships on Feb. 24 and 25.
For outdoor season, DePaul competes in five regular meets before appearing at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on May 12 and 13.
The season opens on Friday, Dec. 2 when the Blue Demons head to South Bend, Ind. to take part in the Blue and Gold Invitational. The Invite marks the first of four meets DePaul will travel to South Bend for during the indoor season. Other trips to South Bend include the Notre Dame Invitational on Jan. 21, the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 3 and 4 and the Alex Wilson Invitational on Feb. 17 and 18.
After the Blue and Gold Invite, DePaul competes in its first meet of the new year at the Illini Classic in Champaign, Ill. on Jan. 14.
The weekend after the Notre Dame Invitational on Jan. 21, DePaul heads to Bloomington, Ind. for the Indiana Relays on Jan. 27 and 28.
A busy February features four meets, beginning with the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind. Feb. 3 and 4.
On Feb. 10, the Blue Demons head to the Chicagoland Championships in Naperville, Ill.
DePaul closes out its regular indoor season at the Alex Wilson Invitational on Feb. 17 and 18 back in South Bend, Ind.
The Blue Demons join the rest of the BIG EAST track and field squads in Ocean Breeze, N.Y. for the BIG EAST Indoor Championships Feb. 24 and 25. The BIG EAST Digital Network will broadcast the meet.
The indoor track and field season wraps up at the NCAA Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas. The national event is scheduled for March 10-11.
DePaul's outdoor season begins March 24 and 25 at the Bill Cornell Spring Classic in Carbondale, Ill. The Bill Cornell Spring Classic marks the first of three outdoor meets for the Blue Demons in Illinois.
DePaul heads to the Joey Hines Invitational in Cape Girardeu, Mo. for a one day meet on April 1 before the Benedictine University Duals meet in Lisle, Ill. on April 7 and 8.
On April 14 and 15, the Blue Demons compete out west in Long Beach, Calif. for the Beach Invitational.
DePaul returns to Illinois for the Illinois Twilight in Champaign April 21 and 22.
DePaul closes out its regular outdoor season the following weekend at the Lenny Lyles-Clarke Wood Invitational in Louisville, Ky. on April 28 and 29.
The Blue Demons join the rest of the BIG EAST track and field squads once again for the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships May 12 and 13 in Philadelphia, Pa. The BIG EAST Digital Network will broadcast the meet.
Following the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, the NCAA West Preliminaries take place in Austin, Texas May 25-27.
The outdoor season officially wraps up at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. June 7-10.
