DePaul Sweeps Field Athlete Weekly Honors

NEW YORK - The first track & field weekly honors from the BIG EAST were released Tuesday afternoon and field athletes Trevor Kintyhtt and Jade Nolan were named the conference's Field Athletes of the Week.
Kintyhtt started the season with a toss in the weight throw of 20.17 meters at the Blue & Gold Invitational. The senior won the event by over a meter, set a new personal best and is currently third in the nation with that distance. Kintyhtt also added a second-place finish to his day in the shot put event at 15.98 meters and ranks 39th nationally.
Nolan was in first place after the first round of jumps in the long jump and never relinquished the top spot at the Blue & Gold Invitational. She recorded her best jump of 5.72 meters in her fourth and final attempt. Nolan ranks 13th nationally in the event.
The Blue & Gold Invitational was the lone meet of 2016 for the Blue Demons. DePaul returns to action for the Illini Classic on Jan. 14.
