NEW YORK - For the final installment of the BIG EAST weekly track and field honors, DePaul track and field's Tayler Whittler won the Women's Track Athlete of the Week award, announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.

Whittler broke the program record again this year, recording a winning time of 11.60 at the Illinois Open last Wednesday. The senior topped her previous best by .02 seconds. She currently ranks first in the BIG EAST by .12 seconds and sits at 49th in the West region.

Tuesday's honor marks the second outdoor season award for Whittler of the 2016 season. She won the first weekly award back on March 30.
