Track and Field Teams Garner USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its recipients for the 2015-16 All-Academic awards and both the DePaul men's and women's track and field teams earned the honors.
The women's team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.57 to join a list that featured 220 NCAA D-I women's track and field teams. The Blue Demons were tied for the 12th-highest GPA among the recipients and second in the BIG EAST behind Butler.
DePaul's men's team made the list by earning a 3.16 cumulative team GPA. The Blue Demons joined four other BIG EAST track and field teams on the men's side.
In order to earn the All-Academic honor, a team must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA. All told, there were 122 men's teams and 220 women's teams to claim the academic award.
