Endy Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

CHICAGO - The 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America® Women's Soccer teams were announced Thursday, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Senior Elizabeth Endy of the DePaul women's soccer team was among the 2017 recipients as the Deephaven, Minn., native was a Second Team selection.
Thirty of the 33 members of the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division I women's soccer teams have at least a 3.90 GPA, with 19 student-athletes sporting a perfect 4.0 GPA. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.96.
Endy carries a 4.0 GPA while double majoring in accounting and finance. Upon graduation in June, Endy will begin her full-time career with Deloitte, based in Chicago, where she will work as a consultant for the accounting firm.
On the field, Endy started all 19 games for the Blue Demons in 2017. She dished out two assists on the year while attempting one shot. As a defender, Endy led DePaul to seven shutouts on the season.
Endy finished her Blue Demon career sixth all-time in matches played (79) and second in all-time career starts (79), never having missed a match in her four seasons with DePaul.
The Blue Demons finished the 2017 season with a 7-7-5 record, reaching the BIG EAST tournament quarterfinals.
