MIAMI - The DePaul women's tennis team earned its eighth win of the season after sweeping St. Thomas University 7-0 in Miami on Wednesday afternoon.
DePaul (8-6) now boasts a four-match win streak with its victory over the Bobcats.
In doubles, Patricia Lancranjan and Keisha Clousing defeated Cynthia Diaz and Naomi Maehama 8-1 at No. 2.
Yuliya Shupenia and Ana Vladutu at No. 1 and Florence Abbott and Aspasia Avgeri at No. 3 clinched victories with a 8-2 mark each over their opponents.
Shupenia and Vladutu defeated Ksenia and Victoria Slavina, while Abbott and Avgeri bested Cassandra Lemieux and Marine Uyttenhove.
In singles action, Clousing notched a 6-1, 6-1 finish at No. 2 over Victoria Slavina.
The rest of the DePaul squad recorded 6-0, 6-0 victories over St. Thomas in singles for the final 7-0 score.
Lancranjan defeated Lemieux at No. 1 as Vladutu bested Ksenia Slavina at No. 3.
Avgeri played No. 4 to defeat Diaz, while Abbott earned a win at No. 5 against Uyttenhove.
Milica Tesic earned her sixth win of the season at No. 6 over Alexandria Curry.
The Blue Demons return to competition on Saturday, April 1 to take on the defending BIG EAST Conference Champions, Xavier at home. First serve begins at 3 p.m. CT at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
