Blue Madness Event Slated for Thursday

Preseason kickoff starts at 6:30 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena

CHICAGO – DePaul University students can kick off the 2018-19 basketball season on Thursday with Blue Madness at McGrath-Phillips Arena. This student-only event starts at 6:30 p.m. on the Lincoln Park Campus and concludes with a Food Fest party under CTA Fullerton station tracks.

The first 500 students in attendance will receive a Blue Madness t-shirt and voucher for a free Haus Dog from Dog Haus Biergarten Lincoln Park. Students can also purchase items from the rummage sale which features exclusive and authentic DePaul athletic gear.

The event will include team scrimmages, a men's basketball dunk competition and women's basketball 3-point contest. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the evening.

The evening will conclude with a FREE Food Fest party under the tracks between McGrath-Phillips Arena and Cacciatore Stadium. Vendors include Cheesies, Home Run Inn Pizza and Beavers Donuts.
