Walker Lands on #BIGEASTWsoc Honor Roll

CHICAGO - Junior defender Adrian Walker was named to the #BIGEASTwsoc Honor Roll Monday in her efforts in DePaul's matches against Providence and Villanova over the last week.

Her efforts on the back line aided the Blue Demons in limiting Providence to 11 shots and Villanova to eight shots to secure an undefeated week for DePaul. The Lake Forest, Ill. native started and played all 200 minutes spanning across the two matches.

She has started in all 17 matches in the 2018 campaign and has logged 1593 minutes so far. The Blue Demons will take on St. John's in their regular season finale on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Queens, NY.

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Christina Bellero, St. John's, Sr., F
Bellero had one of the most clutch weeks we've seen this season, rallying St. John's to two victories while clinching a berth in the BIG EAST Women's Soccer Championship. Trailing Villanova 2-0 midway through the second half on Thursday night, Bellero got the Red Storm on the board in the 61^st minute. Eighteen minutes later, she assisted on Lucy Whipp's 88^th-minute game-tying goal. In overtime, Bellero scored the golden goal in the 99^th minute for the win. On Sunday at Xavier, Bellero scored the game winner in the 41^st minute, as St. John's guaranteed itself a home match in the conference tournament. Over two games, Bellero doubled her goals total on the season to six.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Meaghan Nally, Georgetown, Jr., D
Nally led a Georgetown defense which allowed just six shots on goal over two wins last week, outshooting Marquette and Butler by a combined 35-17 margin. The Hoyas shutout Butler to clinch the BIG EAST regular-season title for a second consecutive year. Nally added a bit of offense as well, registering two assists, both on game winners, including Caitlin Farrell's golden goal in the 102^nd minute on Thursday at Marquette.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Shelby Hogan, Providence, So., GK
Hogan went unbeaten on the week, both in terms of record and goals allowed. The sophomore played 200 minutes of scoreless soccer at DePaul and against Seton Hall as the Friars went 1-0-1 to remain in postseason contention. She made nine saves against the Blue Demons and one stop in Sunday's win over the Pirates. Hogan now has nine shutouts on the year and an .885 save percentage.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Hayley Jakovich, Xavier, Fr., D
In a 1-1 week for the Musketeers, Javovich helped anchor a defense which surrendered just one goal, while limiting opponents to a combined five shots on goal. Xavier outshot Seton Hall 15-7, including 6-3 on net, in Thursday's 3-0 win, while limiting St. John's to just three shots, including two on target, in Sunday's setback. Xavier clinched a berth in the BIG EAST Championship by collecting its 13^th points of the season.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Maddy Henry, Marquette, Jr., GK
Henry posted a league-high 14 saves last week, including 10 in Thursday's overtime setback to No. 4 Georgetown. She made four saves in Sunday's shutout at Creighton to finish the week with a 0.85 GAA and .875 save percentage.
Meredith Reinhardt, St. John's, R-So., GK
Reinhardt's most clutch performance of the year came on Sunday at Xavier as the Red Storm shutout the Musketeers despite a flurry of shots to clinch hosting duties in the BIG EAST Championship. Reinhardt made nine saves over 90 minutes in the 1-0 victory, while also making three stops in Thursday's overtime win over Villanova.
Arielle Schechtman, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Schechtman went 2-0 last week, picking up her 11^th shutout of the season as the Hoyas defeated Butler on Sunday to clinch the regular-season title. In wins over the Bulldogs and Marquette, the senior totaled five saves and surrendered one goal for an .833 save percentage and 0.47 goals against average in over 191 minutes of action.
Halle Stelbasky, Butler, Sr., F
Stelbasky scored the 76^th minute game winner over Creighton on Thursday night to clinch a postseason berth for the Bulldogs. The win also guaranteed RV Butler a home match in the conference tournament as they can finish no lower than fourth.
Adrian Walker, DePaul, Jr., D
Walker led the Blue Demons to a pair of shutouts last week as DePaul went 1-0-1 to remain in postseason contention. The Blue Demons outshot Providence and Villanova by a combined 33-19 margin, including 16-7 on goal, with the Wildcats being held without a single shot on target. Walker started and played all 200 minutes in DePaul's unbeaten week.
