Eli Cain Selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Senior guard earns honor for fourth time in career
CHICAGO – DePaul guard Eli Cain was named to this week's BIG EAST Honor Roll after leading the Blue Demons to a win over Cleveland State last Wednesday. This week's recognition marks the fourth career time the senior has been named to the weekly honor roll.
Cain led the Blue Demons past Cleveland State with a season-high 26 points on Wednesday. The Willingboro, N.J. native went 9-for-14 from the field overall, 3-of-6 from three-point range and 5-for-7 from the free throw line while adding three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
The 26 points are his highest scoring total since dropping in a career-high 32 points against Butler on Jan. 21, 2017.
In five games this season, Cain has scored at least 20 points on two occasions. He leads the BIG EAST in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.7 and is ranked in the top 15 in assists (2nd), minutes per game (5th), steals (t10th), defensive rebounds (11th), three-point field goals (11th), three-point field goal percentage (15th) and scoring (15th).
Cain and DePaul continue the non-conference schedule Monday night against Florida A&M. Start time is 7:30 p.m. at Wintrust Arena on FS1 and WSCR (670 AM).
