DePaul Set for Contest against Kentucky in Lexington

Friday marks first matchup in program history
CHICAGO - The DePaul men's soccer team is set to square off with the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. in Lexington, Ky.
Coming off their final exhibition match with a win against Eastern Illinois, 2-1, head coach Mark Plotkin is excited about this matchup - the first competitive match between the schools in program history. The exhibition game saw junior defender Max de Bruijne and sophomore midfielder Timmy Iscra score two goals in the first half. After finishing the 2017 season with a 5-11-2, the Blue Demons are entering the season with plenty of energy, returning five starters from the previous season.
Scouting the Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off of a 8-6-4 2017 season, also with five starters returning as well as returners that include C-USA All-Freshman team members Leon Jones and Aimé Mabika. Another notable player includes Enrique Facusse, who won the Conference USA Golden Glove Award, Freshman of the Year, First Team All-C-USA and the Conference All-Freshman Team and All-Southeast Region.
