CHICAGO - DePaul returns to Wintrust Arena for a Wednesday night game against No. 14/14 Villanova. The Blue Demons are playing just their third home game this month that featured five BIG EAST road games. The first of the five league road trips was a Jan. 2 date at Villanova that saw the Blue Demons take a 30-16 lead midway through the first half before the Wildcats methodically erased the lead and posted a 73-68 win at Finneran Pavilion. Start time at Wintrust Arena between the Blue Demons and Wildcats is set for 7 p.m.
Wednesday's game will be televised on CBS Sports Network with Carter Blackburn (play-by-play), Pete Gillen (analyst) and Cassie McKinney (reporter) handling the television duties. Villanova - ranked No. 14 in both of this week's national polls - is 16-4 overall this season and 7-0 in BIG EAST play. The Wildcats enter Wednesday's contest following an 80-52 win against Seton Hall on Sunday. The Blue Demons are 11-8 and 3-5 in the BIG EAST after Sunday's 70-67 loss at Providence. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his seventh season at DePaul and his fourth since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2018-19 campaign is Leitao's 13th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Villanova is led by Jay Wright who is in his 18th season leading the Wildcats and 25th season overall as a head coach at the collegiate level.
