DePaul Heads East for Weekend Matches

CHICAGO - The Blue Demons, currently 10-10 (2-6 BIG EAST) on the season, are set for a weekend of matches on the road. The team travels to Seton Hall Friday for a 11 a.m. match and St. John's Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest.

SERIES AGAINST SETON HALL
Prior to this season, the Blue Demons had only topped the Pirates in one of 20 meetings between the two. Earlier this season, DePaul earned its second win over Seton Hall in a four set contest 3-1 (16-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22) at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

SCOUTING THE PIRATES
Seton Hall currently sits ninth in the BIG EAST standings, one spot below DePaul. The Pirates are 7-15 (2-6 BIG EAST) on the season compared to the 5-9 record they had going into the first contest against DePaul this season. Seton Hall's two league wins come from a five set battle against Providence and a 3-0 victory over Georgetown both in early October. The Pirates are currently on a three-match losing streak.

SERIES AGAINST ST. JOHN'S
DePaul sits in a 5-18 deficit in the series against the Red Storm and has lost the last three contests between the two, with the most recent being a four set contest at McGrath-Phillips Arena in late September.

SCOUTING THE RED STORM
St. John's currently occupies the fourth spot in the BIG EAST standings and is 13-8 (5-3 BIG EAST) on the season. After a tough non-conference schedule and a victory against No. 14 Oregon, the Red Storm carried its success into league play. Two of St John's three conference losses have happened on the road at No. 10 Marquette and Butler with the third taking place at home against No. 14 Creighton.
