DePaul Hosts Butler, Travels to Xavier

CHICAGO - The Blue Demons, currently 11-11 (3-7 BIG EAST) on the season, are set to host Butler Friday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Xavier for a Sunday matinee at noon.

"We are looking forward to playing Butler and Xavier," said head coach Marie Zidek. "Both ended in tight five set matches last time we competed against these teams. November is all about team performance and how hard you can work to gain the last 1% to your game that is going to get you over the hump in these tight five setters. We are hungry to chase down some more opportunities."

SERIES AGAINST BUTLER
DePaul sits in a 9-18 deficit against Butler and has dropped the last two contests between the two with the most recent being a five set loss 2-3 (25-17, 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 12-15) earlier this season.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Butler currently sits fifth in the BIG EAST standings, two spots above the Blue Demons. Currently 9-13 (6-4 BIG EAST) on the season, Butler registered a win in its last match as the Bulldogs took down Georgetown in three sets.

SERIES AGAINST XAVIER
Xavier leads the series against DePaul 18-6. The Blue Demons have dropped the last two contests between the two with the most recent being a league-opening five set loss 2-3 (25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 16-14) earlier this season.

SCOUTING THE MUSKETEERS
Xavier currently occupies the spot above DePaul in the BIG EAST standings, at number six. The Musketeers are 8-12 (5-5 BIG EAST) on the season and fell in three sets in their most recent contest against Villanova.
