11 DePaul Softball Players Named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes

CHICAGO - The DePaul softball program is no stranger to accolades both on and off the field.
The Blue Demons' team grade-point average from last year is ranked No. 11 in the nation with only a .170 difference distancing them from the top-ranked Grand Canyon University with a 3.760 GPA.
DePaul softball's 3.590 GPA was the highest among teams in the BIG EAST Conference and even topped the Ivy Leagues, with Harvard coming in at 43rd with a 3.485 GPA.
Additionally, DePaul found 11 players named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes in Erin Andris, Jessica Cothern, Madison Fisher, Morgan Greenwood, Maranda Gutierrez, Natalie Halvorson, Skylor Hilger, Gabby O'Riley, Alysia Rodriguez, Angela Scalzitti and Brianna Viles.
Last season, DePaul softball won the BIG EAST Team Academic Excellence Award with a GPA of 3.59
