DePaul and Iowa meet in annual series between the BIG EAST and Big Ten
CHICAGO - America's busiest team plays its fourth game of the opening week as the Blue Demons travel to Iowa. DePaul and Iowa meet in the first game of the 2019 edition of the Gavitt Tipoff Games between the BIG EAST and Big Ten conferences. Start time at Carver-Hawkeye Arena is 7 p.m.

Monday's game will be televised on FS1 with Jeff Levering (play-by-play) and Steve Lavin (analyst) handling the broadcast duties. Iowa reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament a year ago and finished with a 23-12 record including a 10-10 mark in Big Ten play. DePaul stands at 3-0 following wins over Alcorn State (72-54) on Tuesday, Chicago (84-55) on Wednesday and Fairleigh Dickinson (70-59) on Friday. The Blue Demons are coming off last season that finished with a 19-17 overall record and 7-11 mark in the BIG EAST.

A year ago, DePaul defeated Penn State in overtime by a score of 72-70 at Wintrust Arena. Monday's game is DePaul's third road game in the series with trips to Illinois (L, 82-73) in 2017 and Penn State (L, 68-62) in 2015. DePaul hosted Rutgers in a 66-59 loss in the 2016 event.
