DePaul hosts third game in four days to open 2019-20 campaign
CHICAGO – DePaul continues the start of the 2019-20 season with a Friday night game against Fairleigh Dickinson. The game is the second half of a DePaul basketball doubleheader as the women's team plays their season opener against Miami (Ohio) in the Preseason WNIT.
Friday's game will be televised on FS2 with Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play) and Stephen Bardo (analyst) handling the broadcast duties. The game can also be seen online on the FOX Sport app and foxsports.com/live. Fairleigh Dickinson is 1-0 this season following a 101-52 win over FDU-Florham on Tuesday. The Knights went 21-14 a season ago and reached the first round of the NCAA Tournament following a win in the First Four. DePaul stands at 2-0 following wins over Alcorn State (72-54) on Tuesday and Chicago (84-55) on Wednesday. The Blue Demons are coming off last season that finished with a 19-17 overall record and 7-11 mark in the BIG EAST.

Reed Named Second Team Preseason All-BIG EAST: Junior Paul Reed was picked by the league's head coaches as the league unveiled its preseason selections at media day. Reed was the 2019 Most Improved Player in the league after nearly averaging a double-double in conference play last season. He averaged 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in 18 BIG EAST games a year ago and returns as the league's top rebounder after averaging 8.5 boards per game overall in 2018-19.
